Pre-Shipment Inspection

Quality Assurance Before Shipment

Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) helps ensure that goods meet the required quality, quantity, specifications, and applicable regulatory standards before they are shipped. Our inspection services verify the conformity of products and supporting documents at the point of origin. This helps identify discrepancies at an early stage, reduce commercial risks, and support smooth customs clearance and international trade.

Our experienced inspectors conduct thorough checks based on contractual requirements, applicable standards, and destination-country regulations.

Pre-Loading Inspection

Inspection Before Loading

Pre-Loading Inspection is conducted immediately before and during the loading of goods to ensure that the shipment is properly prepared, handled, and loaded according to the agreed requirements. Our inspection team verifies the quantity, quality, packaging, labeling, condition, and overall conformity of the goods prior to loading.

The inspection also covers the condition and suitability of the loading area, containers, vehicles, and handling procedures. Any visible damage, discrepancies, or non-conformities are identified and documented before the shipment leaves the premises. This helps minimize the risk of loss, damage, or incorrect loading and provides greater confidence in the integrity of the shipment.

Sampling

Representative Sampling & Traceability

Sampling is a critical part of the inspection and testing process, ensuring that samples accurately represent the goods or products being assessed. Our trained inspectors follow established procedures to collect, identify, seal, and document samples in a controlled and impartial manner.

Samples are collected according to applicable standards, specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Proper sampling helps ensure reliable laboratory testing and accurate assessment of product quality and conformity. Each sample is carefully documented and handled to maintain traceability and integrity throughout the inspection and testing process.

Lab Analysis

Laboratory Testing & Analysis

Laboratory Analysis provides accurate and reliable testing of samples to determine their quality, composition, safety, and compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Our laboratory testing services help verify whether products meet the specified technical, contractual, and regulatory criteria.

Samples are analyzed using appropriate testing methods, established standards, and validated procedures. The results provide objective and scientifically supported information for quality assessment, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making.

Certificate of Compliance

Certificate of Compliance

Certificate of Compliance (CoC) is an official document confirming that goods, products, or shipments have been inspected and verified against the applicable standards, specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory requirements. It provides documented evidence that the assessed goods conform to the relevant requirements at the time of inspection.

The certificate is issued based on inspection findings, laboratory test results, documentation review, and other applicable verification procedures. It supports regulatory compliance, customs clearance, and international trade by providing assurance to importers, exporters, authorities, and other stakeholders.

Principal profile

A Danish-Origin TIC Group Built For International Trade

Baltic Control was established at the port of Aarhus, Denmark, in 1980. Its early work focused on agricultural inspection, especially grain and feedstuff shipments moving from Scandinavian ports over the Baltic Sea.

From that origin, Baltic Control expanded into a global inspection, verification, testing, and certification organization with offices and trusted representatives serving customers across geographical regions.

At the end of January 2023, A/S Baltic Control Group Ltd. was acquired by Apave Group, strengthening its connection to a wider international technical, risk, and compliance network.
